The working principle of the shaftless trommel is to install the roller device of the shaftless trommel on the frame obliquely and adopt a non-central shaft structure design. The motor drives the pinion gear to rotate with the large gear of the drum or the chain to mesh with the gear on the drum. The motor drives the chain to drive or the drum is placed on two idlers, and the motor drives the idlers to drive.
The drum device rotates under the drive of the driving device. When the material enters the drum device, the material on the screen surface is turned and rolled due to the inclination and rotation of the drum device. Qualified materials (products under the screen) are discharged through the discharge port at the bottom of the rear end of the drum, and unqualified materials (products on the screen) are discharged through the discharge port at the end of the drum. Due to the overturning and rolling of the material in the drum, the material stuck in the screen hole can be ejected to prevent the screen hole from being blocked.
Shaftless trommel is mainly used for grading processing of belt-shaped and strong winding materials and is widely used in electric power, mining, metallurgy, building materials, chemical, and other production industries. It is often used for the classification of refractory materials, coal, fertilizers, and stones in sand fields, as well as the screening of viscous and wet materials such as coal, coke, white ash, and placer gold ore to make the product structure more even to meet production needs.
Shaftless roller screens can be divided into three types according to the transmission mode: gear transmission type, chain transmission type, and roller transmission type.
A shaftless trommel is compared with a trommel with a central shaft. Its structure is simpler. At one end of the drum screen close to the vibration motor, several steel bars are uniformly welded around the drum, and the other end of the steel bars converge on the central axis of the drum. After being fixed, the vibration motor is connected through a gear. When the vibrating motor starts, the drum also rotates, the same screening principle as the shaft drum screen.
Shaftless drum screens are relatively more material-saving, and the space for screening materials is larger. When the drum fails, it is easier to check and repair. Therefore, shaftless drum screens are also used very much. For example, it can be used for the pre-treatment of domestic garbage. It can filter out the required garbage. The advantage of shaftless is that it can avoid the entanglement of materials and the screening efficiency is relatively high.
